Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico in a family who loved music. As a child, she was exposed to a lot of traditional music as well as old Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana has a passion for tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. Ana began to learn how to sing and play music in the early years alongside her mother. The formal training in singing when she was 16 years old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was a member of many opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. Following her move into America, United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002, she made her way to southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. She is passionate about singing, music and the arts keeps her involved in local activities in both her capacity as an artist and instructor. Ana was also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana appreciates being able to share her passion and passion of old-fashioned Latin American songs with others as she hopes to impart a desire to, particularly in the younger age group in order to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
