MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major global inroads into the Latin pop scene. Una Lady Como Tu, his smash hit of 2016, won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. In 2017, he released ADN which was his debut long-player to La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album peaked at the rank of eight places on the Top Latin Albums charts. The following year, he joined forces with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca that was it was a Top Five hit. In 2020, he dropped the chart-topping sophomore album Dopamina as well as co-produced Mala Influencia along with Noriel. In 2021, he appeared on a duet TINI on her streaming smash song Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo's mother and brother also played instruments when Turizo was born. In interviews he's talked about playing music as an obligation. As a child, he was taught how to play the piano, saxophone and guitar. His first career choice was to become a vet But his older brother Julian persuaded him to learn to sing with an instructor from a Cuban teacher. The end result, realizing that he had a talent for singing changed the direction of his life.
