Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21 in 1983. She is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Born in Worthington Ohio she dropped out of high school to move in Los Angeles with her mother when her parents separated. However, in 2001, despite financial struggles it was possible to land her first major part in the web-based video series Rachel's Room playing the principal character. Her portrayal as Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the T.V. movie Murder in Greenwich in 2002 earned her nominations for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the lead actor in Lost during its initial two seasons. In 2004 she received the Screen Actors Guild Award with all of the ensemble. Grace decided to leave the show to pursue a professional film work. She had appeared alongside Tom Welling opposite in The Fog in 2005. The actress starred on the screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 as well as Taken (2008) alongside Liam Neeson. In 2008, she reprised the role Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). In addition, she played Alice as Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is a modern adaptation that Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played Shannon's part on Lost for two episodes, including the series final. She was in 2013 for Season 6 of Californication. She plays Faith who's the star-gazer and a groupie. Also, she appeared in Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received critical praise for her leading roles in Secretary (2002 an erotic romantic drama), and Sherrybaby (606), both of which earned their Golden Globe Award nods. In the wake of several successful commercial films like World Trade Center in 2006 she gained greater recognition in the role of Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). She was nominated as the best supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her role of a single mom in Crazy Heart. After that, she went on to star in comedies and dramas like Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011), and The Won't Back Down (12). Alongside her work as a Secret Service agent, she also appeared on screen in White House Down (2013) and Frank (2014). One of her latest roles included her character as the primary protagonist of the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal started her career as director, screenwriter and script writer. she directed and wrote The Lost Daughter, a psychological drama. The Lost Daughter.
